Join me for a walk along Calzada Beach to explore the extraordinary location of Sanlúcar, enjoy the stunning views of the Coto de Doñana, and witness the merging of the Guadalquivir River with the Atlantic Ocean.
We’ll wander through streets rich in history, from the Barrio Bajo to the Barrio Alto, stopping at landmarks like the Plaza del Cabildo, the heart of Sanlúcar, and the Covachas, a former merchants’ market from the 16th century.
We’ll retrace the steps of the first European voyages to America, which set sail from the mouth of the Guadalquivir, highlighting Sanlúcar’s pivotal role in exploration and trade.
And, of course, we’ll soak in breathtaking views from various spots while immersing ourselves in the most authentic and vibrant local atmosphere.
