Private walking tour

Would you like to explore Jerez de la Frontera at your own pace, on foot, and with a professional local guide?

Join me for a walking tour through the most iconic streets and squares of Jerez, as we uncover its origins and follow its fascinating history to better understand the city today, with a special focus on the legacy of the Sherry wine industry.

We’ll stroll under jacaranda and orange trees, through the historic quarters within the old city walls, discovering hidden corners, local anecdotes and the vibrant life of the commercial heart of the town.

This is a relaxed, friendly walk, tailored to your pace, where we’ll discuss the most important aspects of the city and its cultural heritage.

Would you prefer a general overview or a deeper experience?

You can choose an essential walking tour (90 minutes to 2 hours), or enhance your visit by including two of Jerez’s most important landmarks:

  • Cathedral of Our Lord Saviour
Step inside the majestic former Collegiate Church to explore its chapels, admire its religious art and discover its greatest treasure: The Sleeping Virgin, a rare and intimate masterpiece by Francisco de Zurbarán, one of Spain’s leading Golden Age painters.

  • Alcázar of Jerez
This 11th–12th century Almohad fortress is one of the best-preserved examples of Islamic architecture in the Iberian Peninsula. You’ll see the original Arab baths, the octagonal tower, and the only mosque still standing from the time of Moorish Jerez.

Estimated duration
